... your child is in the shower and sees a flash from the next room, he panics and thinks that you are trying to sneak a photo for your blog! (I was actually seeing if I could a take a decent photo of myself like Crazy Aunt Purl does all the time.)

Ahhh, yes. My kids constantly ask, "You're not putting that on the blog, are you?"
That scenario happpens a great deal around our place as well! "Addicted" comes to mind!
